MacDowell's music scholarship competition is held annually, generally in late winter or early spring. It is open to all high school seniors in the surrounding area. Vocalists perform in two languages (English and another language) in works of contrasting styles. Instrumentalists (including pianists) also perform pieces from different periods. Maximum performance time is 10 minutes total. |
